You need to modify them, they work well too
The base could be better and much smaller in diameter. I have it on the side of my windshield. I also taped my sensors around and used the o-ring that came with the kit to attach it to the pod holders. The screw usually loosens when mounting the module to the base, so use a bit of Loctite once you figure out where to put it.
