Everything is labeled and easily explained in the instructions. There are clear pictures of what you need to do at each step. It took me about half an hour to assemble it by myself with constant interruptions from my kids. I had to adapt a bit because I wanted to fit it into a limited space. I just flipped two poles so they hang more inwards than outwards and everything fits perfectly. All equipment was set up as expected and no additional tools were required. It was the easiest scratching post I have ever assembled. I have two 6 month old kittens and they pace up and down this tree several times an hour. They chase each other and even jump from the top bed to the floor. This just proves how stable this tree is. I never trembled before going insane. The top bunk is nice and high so it has become a favorite sleeping spot for both of them. The wood looks beautiful and is easy to vacuum to remove excess hair. Is there anything to change? To be honest, no. It's well built and the cats love it. I don't feel like anything is missing or that changing it would make it any better than it already is. Great tree for cats. Hope you like it as much as I do.
