Review on Logitech Lightspeed Wireless Adjustable Programmable by Craig Waters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

SIGNIFICANT improvement over the original 502

I bought this discounted mouse to replace my original G502 which I had for many many years. My previous one wore out the pads and the M1 eventually became unreliable. This worked well for a few months, but now there was a problem that caused the M1 not to last. This means you cannot drag the mouse to drag and drop files or drag to select multiple files. Sometimes it registers holding down the mouse button as a series of clicks, meaning that in normal use it does all sorts of crazy unexpected things. It also means it's virtually useless for gaming, which is the main purpose I bought it for, as well as just about any other regular use (I work from home, which has also given me a headache at work). Apparently this is a long-standing issue that I've found all over Google and also in some recent reviews, but it seems Logitech hasn't addressed it at this time. I do not recommend this mouse at all as the chances of that happening with this model are pretty high. It's a shame because the G502 is one of the best peripherals I've used in my decades of PC use and gaming, but the quality of the device doesn't seem reliable anymore.
