My neighbors behind me have 3 dogs the size of a Great Dane. Why? Anyway, they come out at 5am every morning and bark for 30 minutes to come back. The rest of the time my 10 lb dog barks at them and they start barking and growling at the fence. I had to screw the boards to the fence so they wouldn't rattle against the boards. After installing this about 7 feet high on my pergola, the first few times we heard "woofs" and they stopped. No more barking, except for the occasional little bark. No snarling at the fence as I think they associate fence territory with noise. The only bad thing is I used level 3 to silence the big dogs but when my little dog came out and barked it scared him to death. She will no longer approach the area - at least not bark! In general - the rules of the game. (I wonder if the neighbors took their dog to the vet to see what happened. I covered the bright green light with duct tape.)
