I have a 100 lb Airedale Terrier. He's a sweet boy, but he'll easily drag me across the street to say hello to another dog, and I can't stop him if he decides to chase after a cat or raccoon while we're out for a walk. He completely fought the soft leader (and I'm very experienced at it!). Electrocollars haven't worked for long, but one malfunction is enough. Then I heard about Canny Collar. I didn't have high hopes but the design made sense to control and eliminate the risk of injury. When I first put it on him, Reilly gave a brief, minimal reaction to the strap at the top of his muzzle, but he quickly forgot. The first time he tried to pull me where he wanted, the strap on his snout pulled his nose down. He was surprised, but immediately walked wonderfully. The next day no response to the tape. I didn't forget to pull a couple of times, but quickly corrected myself. Since then we have taken him to a few places where he is highly stimulated with other dogs and people. he was perfect The ONLY reason I just gave 4 stars is because it doesn't show up as quickly as I'd like, but maybe it will sort itself out once I get used to it. I liked it so much that I immediately ordered a second one to leave in the car.
