Ideal for vehicles with thicker, deeper air vents. I used them on my family's 2016 Scion truck and 2010 Mazda 3. These air vents worked great with this holder as the 'fingers' are longer and grip the entire air vent. My old 2001 F-150 has very thin air vent fins that are too thin and small for this holder to grip properly. Take this into account when buying a car and you will be happy. The magnet is so strong that the mount held perfectly to my phone even while driving on Puerto Rico's potholed roads. I put a large steel plate between the case and the phone so you don't even notice and the holding power of the magnet is amazing!
