Review on Equus 6088 3 3 Tachometer Black by Brian Sitton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Far away man for sensors

When I say far, I mean completely unrealistic. That speedo peaks before my engine hits my set 6500 rpm limiter. I was very confused trying to set the idle and the tachometer read 1100 when the engine stalled due to the low idle. I bought it to use for customization purposes because it was cheap and I just wanted to throw it in the closet after using it. Turns out I'm going to throw it in the trash. Moral of the story, spend the extra $50 and get a real speedometer even if you don't plan on keeping one in the car. In case you're wondering, I used this with a digital 6al MSD with a manual Timing Advance dial, omitting the standard HEI ignition module on a 406 small block Chevrolet.
