I've been using this beard oil for about a week and overall it's good but not quite 5 stars. I've used a variety of beard balms and oils over the years and Kave seems well made and has a nice if industrial scent (see below). The oil is light and absorbs well into my beard. I don't notice my grey-white beard darkening like some products do. The aroma is exactly the same as in the old men's barber shop. Clean and unobtrusive, but very reminiscent of the blue 'disinfectant solution' that barbers (d) use to store their combs. And a bit like industrial bathroom sanitizers. If you're looking for a warm or pine scent, this isn't for you. My biggest objection concerns the packaging. The product comes in a small glass vial with a complex two-piece plastic "shaker" with a screw cap AND separate pipette screw cap. You can't just open a bottle and replace the shipping cap with a dropper. You must first remove the plastic insert, which requires needle nose pliers! You can take the lid off the shaker lid and put a few drops in the palm of your hand, but why need an eyedropper? The box also includes a cute little beard comb that appears to be made out of wood. It's smooth and brushes my beard well, although I recommend a soft boar bristle brush to spread the oil over the beard. I will be using this oil exclusively for a month and will report back.
