I installed this camera and mommitor on my 1995 F350 Caravan Camper. I have very little auto repair experience but I did the wiring at home and it was very easy to install. My cigarette lighter is always on so I plugged my cigarette lighter into power, added a switch and now my camera is always on like a rear view when the switch is on. Without adding a switch, I would have to unplug the camera and monitor from power every time. I didn't want to do it. During the day the color is very good. In the evening the headlights look a bit blurry but nothing to lose sleep over. I installed the camera over the doors of my van so the headlights aren't pointing directly at the camera. There were many cables for the camera, most of which are tucked under the back seat in my extended cabin. I used zip ties to hold the ruler to the top of the RV hull. I drilled holes for the camera but chose not to use their sheet metal screws. Instead I went to a hardware store and bought stainless steel hex bolts and nuts and used red Loctite to secure the camera mount. I want to make it as difficult as possible for criminals who might try to steal the camera and mount. I also replaced the four black knobs that are used to easily adjust the angle of the monitor. I used countersunk screws which require a hex wrench. I don't plan to adjust the angle of the monitor much and wanted the monitor to be more secure. Take your allen wrench with you, criminals. The picture doesn't shake at all, even when driving a diesel on a rough road. I don't hear any interference on the radio either.
