I have a Riccar 8000 series vacuum. I hate that it always has little plastic parts that break but it still sucks 20 years later. Since I've had this Riccar vacuum, the bags often (unknowingly) "fall off" inside the vacuum with normal use. What exactly happens is that the cardboard collar falls off the 2 inch tube that this bag is placed on. Why? because the pipe is actually 1.850 inches in diameter. The carton opening at the collar of Ricar factory bags is 1.820 inches. Although you can ACCEPT a factory Riccar bag with your vacuum, it will never work fully. Sometimes it crashes without your knowledge. Then you vacuum the whole house and all the dirt ends up next to the bag and goes back into your house. The mounting hole for EnviroCare brand bags is 1.880 inches. just perfect for attaching the bag FULLY over the hook point on the Riccar. EnviroCare has a latex seal to prevent particles from escaping around the attachment point. I have never had an instance of EnviroCare brand packaging falling off and making a mess in my vacuum cleaner.
