This 3 gang switch uses a wiring method where the wire is stripped and inserted into a hole like that used on some wall switches. In theory, a thin piece of metal or two will "clamp" the wire and prevent it from being pulled out. Think of your finger in one of those "Chinese finger traps". This switch is poorly built and barely holds the wire. The wire could not be properly fixed during insertion. With a device like a fan that moves/vibrates I could imagine a wire snapping out of a hole resulting in an electric shock or fire. Save money, buy something higher quality.
