If you have an Elecom Huge or Deft Pro you are probably familiar with their rather sticky trackball or 'stickiness'. This is due to the artificial rubies used for the bearings, which are not of very high quality. Combined with the fact that the trackball's surface is a bit softer than it should be, it requires a lot of friction to make small and precise movements with it. Instead of rubies, however, you put a set of bearings and it slides as smooth as glass. Almost too smooth. Be careful not to drop them on a hard surface, they are fragile. I recommend working on soft cloth or something similar.
