I bought this monitor to connect to my laptop and would like to address a confusion. This is NOT a USB powered monitor, even though it is connected from your computer to the monitor's USB-C port. The monitor itself MUST be connected. Of the advantages - there is no adapter for a brick. It's a straight-through power cable like you normally see on a standard PC. However, if you have a Thunderbolt port, the monitor will charge your computer. So you can still boot your laptop with just the USB-C cable connected. No separate charger is required if your laptop supports USB-C charging. I use an LG Gram 17 and this is how it works. Connectivity confusion aside, the monitor is beautiful and worth every penny.
