Many reviews have talked about how fragile this scratching post is. But I couldn't afford much and our kitty loves to climb and scratch and needed a quick fix to stop her from destroying my house. Then I found this gem. Yes the material seems a little flimsy and I need to make a pillow for part of the house which will be easy. But other than that, you can't even buy an old, battered scratching post or make a $30 scratching post! It's new, only took me 30 minutes to ship and assemble, and it has arthritis on its hands. It doesn't wobble and is strong. Now there's no way I would test it on a 20lb cat, but our kitten is only 14 weeks old and as her mother was under 10lbs I'm sure she will last very well for at least a year or two.And for $30, that's a steal! The legs are all covered in sisal so there's a lot of scratches and it's not too big so it fits nicely in any space. Plus at this price I can save up to get another one if I find something else but honestly it's roomy and will easily fit most 10-15 lb cats. My kitten looks like a dwarf but they are growing fast and she can still reach the top.
