This was used to replace an old chrome rig. Also, the old drain was difficult to remove, but I managed to remove the old components. This set has everything you need to upgrade your current disguise. The button feels a little cheap and plasticky, but has worked well so far. I've read a few other reviews and found that over-tightening what appears to be plastic components (I think it's just a button component) should be avoided. You need to be sure and put a rubber grommet between the bottom of your tub and the drain pipe, this is not explained well in the instructions. Overall this is a good product; for the price this is a great deal. I would give a perfect 5 stars because it's made out of better materials, but this drain works fine after about a month.
