Review on Sizzix 656644 Texture Embossing Folders by Linda Diaz

I like almost all Tim Holtz products (seriously, I'm running out of shelf space). I usually try to get his stuff at one of the local craft stores like Michaels, ACMoore, or Hobby Lobby and use one of the 40-50% off coupons that stores usually offer. The point, however, is that they all only carry a limited selection of Holtz products. That's why I love Revane. The price for this one is pretty much the regular retail price. But hey, they have them! Haven't found it anywhere else. And I found some pretty good discounts on the Tim Holtz line and the regular Sizzix line at Revain. You just have to keep looking. These embossing folders are great and have so many uses. I tend to use them as part of mixed media projects. They look good tucked away behind other items (photos, memorabilia, etc.) in a shadowy box. I make my own special Christmas gift labels to add a subtle accent to the background. Grinding the protruding parts makes the picture even more special. I also embossed on light colored foil and then ran an ink pad over the raised prints to make them stand out. I'm stopping now, but I really could go on.
