Revainrating 3 out of 5

3 stars why?: Body

I only give 3 stars because I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. Why am I leaving a review for this? Just because I was asked. Although Revain has several different pan warmers, I bought these based on the reviews. Not all of them were positive but they had a higher percentage of positive reviews and I took into account the fact that this particular one is 150w? First, there is no need to grind your pan down to bare metal. If it's a little rough, sand it until smooth, then clean with 91% alcohol. It is expected to drop to 7 degrees Fahrenheit tonight. If I have to go somewhere in the morning, I turn it on for about an hour before I have to leave. I'm not sure how many amps this draws, but what I can tell is that if you're using a pull cord (aka an extension cord), use the higher rated one. I plugged it in just a minute after applying and could hear it drawing current since I had my charger set to 2 amps. For the price if it lasts 3 to 4 years it will be fine, anything less than that will piss me off. I was thinking of getting the magnetic look but figured it would be a pain to get under my truck and get it on and off. FYI I use this on a 6.0 SuperDuty Daily Driver with under 60,000 miles. It is recommended that some kind of edge sealer be applied to it. I drove it back and forth for 18 miles to bring it up to operating temperature and then let it sit for about 15 minutes before installing the gasket. I know the seal looks bad, but I've been laying on my back and using one hand since I lost my right hand in an explosion a few years ago. But this is a sealer to be used as a sealer to resist heat and oil so I figured it would be a good sealer. ALSO BUYERS NOTE that this is a two prong plug with no grounding.
