Bought two of these and today ordered the 256Gb Pro which was special for Father's Day. I rely on consistent performance and have third-party SSDs that sometimes seem to "wobble" for a few seconds when all of my processing grinds to a halt in their path. Toshiba SSDs have proven to be excellent and work well. For what it's worth - this has to be my 11th or 12th SSD I've bought (lost counting), the first being the 80GB Intel X25M-G2 and I haven't looked back at hard drives. Recently someone I know had a problem trying to go back to Windows 7 from 8. When installing Windows 7, the drive was not recognized. If this happens to you, check the windows diskpart commands on the command line, it might save your day, don't blame the product (as I mentioned elsewhere). Note that not all external USB drives will recognize an empty drive as a hard drive or solid state drive.
