Tiny but Mighty - Lamps and Shades

First of all, yes, it's SMALL. It won't light up the whole room. It wouldn't be nice if the desk did your work. It's great for an accent lamp or a small bedside table, which is what I bought it for. It is compact to move. I chose a GE Lighting 22239 Energy-Smart 4.5W 350 lumen LED bulb for this. Found it here on Revain for a pretty decent price. Yes, the bulb protrudes slightly from the top of the cover. This can be bad if you need to reach for the lamp to turn it off, or need to reach for it at all. It doesn't usually bother me as the bulb I chose doesn't light up at all. I discovered this by accident when the lamp fell and I accidentally hit the bulb. At that moment it didn't burn that long. I intentionally left it on for more than eight (8) hours, covering the bulb with my hand. Not cold, but not hot either. It was "warm" - like tap water. So, as for the lighted lamp - with the bulb I received - it's not like that. If so, I would also pay attention to the wiring and the socket. Again, this is my personal experience with this type of lamp and bulb combination. The switch is inconveniently placed. I have to carefully position the cable to access it. This works because I have a small area where the lamp sits, so it's not too much of a problem. It's lightweight so it doesn't take too much work or effort to move it around. Price.
