Hamsters are solitary creatures and need things to keep them busy. Toys in most stores are overpriced and of little use. They are supposed to entertain children, but the hamsters themselves are not happy. My daughter's hamster loved it and she can stand up high and look out and be a little more active. Their cages are usually small, so they increase the square footage above ground to their home. They are very well made and were the perfect addition to her cage.
