I have used this tool to clean wood putty on various woodworking projects and was amazed. In the past I've used sandpaper to sand off excess wood filler. Unfortunately I had to resort to a power sander most of the time, which usually meant sanding the wood and possibly creating a different profile if I sanded along the edge. No longer! This scraper only removes what I was designed for, which is usually just wood, and sometimes the surrounding area when I want to level two adjacent boards. This is a much better option than sandpaper.
