We bought these on a whim for our 1 year old son who hardly wore shoes. He has only been able to walk a few months and they are doing an excellent job of protecting his legs while still being very flexible and comfortable to walk on. They go out a lot, but they're great for most purposes. We have had a couple of pedipeds for our daughters which were great quality and durable but for the price I would go with these. They have held up great for a fraction of the cost of name brand shoes and are really cute.
