Excellent audio cable. The plastic jacket is extremely smooth and does not stick to itself or other cables. It's also a very flexible cable that's fairly easy to tap into memory if you need it for wiring. I made 6 InstallGear banana plug speaker cables with exposed terminator screws and they worked great. The plastic shroud is definitely thicker, so it can be difficult to make an inline/backside connection (Figure 2). Use some petroleum jelly or dish soap to press the bottom of the banana plug onto the sheathed wire. 14 AWG is good and seems to work for my banana plugs once I remove the color coded plastic circle, but the side entry/daisy chain style is probably the sturdier connection for this 14 gauge cable anyway (Figure 1).
