This monitor works with an HDMI to USB-C cable that I purchased previously (60Hz) so it just plugs into my MacBook Pro - no cumbersome adapter required. NOTE. I am not using the HDMI that comes with this monitor. Another review states that the HDMI cable that came with the monitor is not a good cable. The stand is not height adjustable. But it is very easy to assemble and disassemble for collecting on the go. The perfect mobile monitor for my needs. I mainly use it for book editing and layout - lots of work in Photoshop, InDesign, Word, Excel. I'm very happy with the quality of the screen and the ease of setup.
