Review on 💡 Simple Designs LT2009-OFF Mini Egg Oval Ceramic Table Lamp: Elegant Off-White Illumination by Alicia Lynch

This is a nice little lamp that someone could potentially find very useful. In the description, the switch is described as a rotary switch and I assumed that this meant the rotary knob on the socket. It's not - it's a built-in switch that honestly turns. This doesn't work for me as I need something that I can easily find in the dark and turn on quickly to see caller id on my phone in time. This requires too much fiddling. When it arrived the inner box of the product was crushed. Unfortunately, the shadow was also crushed inside. It should never have shipped without inspection with obvious damage to the box, but that would have slowed things down in storage, wouldn't it (note: the outer box wasn't damaged, so that's how it was shipped). I will be returning it but it's a shame because it's such a nice little lamp for next to my phone in the bedroom. Update: We exchanged this and received a new lamp 2 days later. The box was slightly damaged, but not at the bottom, but at the bottom. Shade was fine. We liked it so much that we decided to use it elsewhere where finding the switch quickly in the dark is not a problem. We are now completely satisfied with that. It doesn't look like the problem is the shade getting too hot, as one reviewer mentioned. Maybe they used an overpowered lightbulb. Works great with the recommended 40w bulb. You can always upgrade to LED for less heat or more light.
