Review on πŸ”Œ Enhanced StyroCutter Plus by FloraCraft: Electric Foam Cutting Tool by Karla Richter

Design flaw

Would be an ideal tool if made with a better design. It's too cheaply made to justify the price. The brass-colored crimp holds the metal rod in place. It is paper thin and breaks easily even with light pressure. The product worked perfectly for ten minutes, cleanly and smoothly cutting 1" Styrofoam sheets into various free-form shapes to build the model. Then this thin crimp broke, and that was it. Instead I just used a soldering iron. Harder work I needed but he doesn't break easily. Too bad they don't sell longer soldering iron tips. All in all, this styrofoam tool was a waste of money. In a better assembly design, this would be an extremely useful tool. It is very upsetting that it was made with such an obvious and obvious design flaw. All they needed was a thicker press tube, about five cents more per unit for better material, and that would be awesome.
