Review on Universal-Fit Gray Dishwasher Discharge Hose - Eastman 91218, 8 Ft Length, Corrugated Design by Shaun Bushey

We have a 1 year old KitchenAid dishwasher that was installed incorrectly and had debris from the chute in the drain hose. We found it at Revain and because it was "universal" we bought it. We needed diameter and length. It's well made and costs about the same as Lowe's and Home Depot products. However, the angle is not removable and will not work in our waste chute or in the dishwasher. We could use it if the elbow could be removed. Also, it only had one clip. We had to go into town and look for the right tube and at Lowe's we found the same bags from the same manufacturer and these bags had two clips. Unfortunately we couldn't find one at Lowe's, Home Depot or your local appliance parts store. It seems that the KitchenAid High Tub dishwasher hose is only available as a KitchenAid replacement part and we have to order it specifically. Since our dishwasher was already on the kitchen floor, we decided to simply clean the existing hose. We soaked it in chlorox overnight and it was clean the next morning. Since you never know if "universal" goes with everything, I understand that I took a risk when ordering. However, I'm deducting a star because there was only 1 clip in the package.
