The product is durable. It is slightly water repellent. If the water stands too long, it will start seeping out. It has no straps or other ways to tighten it so it doesn't come loose. We put it on our new UTV and it was blown away by winds of just over 15 mph. We have to use straps to hold it. No, it's not scary, but why not put on zip ties. It has an elastic band at the bottom, but it still doesn't fit snugly enough to the base to hold it up. Any loose areas will allow water to pool and pull it down as well.
