Very difficult to convert to vacuum. I wonder if a little petroleum jelly or some other lube would make turning it into a vacuum a little easier. I haven't used the vacuum since installing it, but it should work fine. In my first review I thought it would work well but after using it I found it difficult to remove the filter from the vacuum cleaner. Then I washed the filter according to the instructions. I couldn't get it back in the vacuum without tearing it up. There are two small notches on the underside of the filter where it attaches to the vacuum cleaner. They are too high or the rubber seal at the bottom of the filter is too thick. I filed the grooves and then everything worked better. I almost filed the notches too far, but everything works fine now. A small change in the production of the filter will correct the situation.
