Review on Lowrance HOOK2 9 - 9-inch Fish Finder with SplitShot Transducer & US/Canada Navionics+ Map Card... by Lamont Manjrekar

Bought this unit with hook 2 5”. We installed this on my nephew's boat as an early Christmas present. He's so pumped. Installation was easy and all we needed was a few hand tools, a drill and a coat hanger (for catching cords). We were able to remove this unit and the screen brightness is much better than the HDI unit we used alongside this one. The 7 inch screen is a good size for a helm station, we were able to expand the map to full screen and read it at full speed. The split shot transducer was good for humpback whales and walleye. I really liked the look of the overlaid downscan. It was like looking at a 2D image on a downscan. It's pretty easy to use with automatic sonar tuning. As with other hooks, being able to use it for ice fishing was also important. It has a color display. And you can use the bottom lock for ice fishing. I will post pictures of the build.
