These blank plastic ornaments may not look pretty out of the box, but if you use the TreeMendous Jewelry Builder (which these blanks are specially designed for), they turn into little works of art! I bought several sets of these blanks - enough that besides the treetop, lights and 2 Olaf decorations our entire Christmas tree was decorated with them - and damn it's gorgeous! Another benefit is how much fun we had as a family decorating the blanks. We chose to use permanent markers instead of the ones supplied with the jewelry maker and this has resulted in brighter colors and hopefully more color retention for years to come. While some other reviewers have noted difficulties using other markers, bad spots on blank decorations where color didn't pick up, and being limited to lines, we encountered none of these issues. Yes, although our embellishments are primarily "lines", we made variations of lines - thick, thin, combined, etc., resulting in a variety of patterns. We also used the stickers to create additional designs - we removed them after the sticker shape was defined and then added some more color with lining to allow the shape (like hearts, stars, crosses, circles, etc.) to blend into inserts the rest. Ornament. I have to admit that some of the "tips" of the jewelry are a little loose, but a quick dab of glue fixes that problem easily. Overall we are VERY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THESE BLANK JEWELRY AND LOVE HOW EASY WE COULD DECORATE THEM!
