I have purchased several of these STOP parking aids in the past. Some of them were high tech radar types, others were the ones taped to the garage floor and I even had a tennis ball jig. This way seems to me to be the best solution. It's pretty durable (I used double sided tape to keep it in place). If you pull up and tap the bars lightly, a small stop sign will light up. How easy is it! Even if the batteries die I don't replace them as the slight movement of the sign warns you not to go any further. A simple, inexpensive solution to what can become a huge problem when you decide to bump into your garage wall. I have two of these, the other is 10 years old and gets bashed in daily with no wear on my bumper or pillars. He keeps licking and ticking :-)
