Straight, very simple

Pretty simple, pretty straight. I found an installation video on YouTube and installed it in about 30 minutes. The cables are strong and all connect with no problems.

This is a tool-free installation.

Excellent product, super good price. Perfect for my 2011 HHR. The installation took about 15 minutes. Don't worry about cutting yourself or bending and breaking the plastic clips in your hand when connecting them to your car, just plug and play.

  • Inspires confidence
Cons

Perfect Fit - Wiring

Easily attaches to 2007 HHR. I used a flathead screwdriver to pry open the plastic covers inside near the taillights. The wiring harness can be easily connected to the original wiring harness. The ground cable is bolted to the frame with a factory 10mm wrench. When not in use, the entire wiring harness is completely invisible and protected.

  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Installed on HHR LS '09

Extremely easy to install, no splicing or fuss. Just unplug a few connectors and plug them into the wire harness and the wire harness back to its original position. It was difficult to find a place to slide the strap out of my HHR, but I found a plastic cover and drilled through it to get the strap through. I had to wrap tape around the exposed part, but you can also easily find the wiring harness cover.

Very easy to install!

Put this on a 2011 HHR LS panel, fairly easy to install, two removable panels and two switch terminals (top of each side). I want to stretch the pig's tail through the rubber. Grommet on the back of the license plate but you will need to cut the hitch connector off and reattach with butt connectors. Instead I just tucked the pig's tail under the back of the floor and taped it where the hatch door would close. Kurt really makes the best hitches and accessories and I especially like them becauseโ€ฆ

Good product: Exterior accessories

Got this for my 2007 Chev HHR. Good product, good instructions. The HHR has a hard foam plug to access the rear light on the driver's side. I would challenge anyone to retrieve it after the wiring harness is installed. As a result, I ripped out a wire on the wiring harness, spoke to Kurt's tech support, offered to send a new one or replace the wire with plugs. I ended up taking the bolt out and pushing it in. None of this was Kurt's fault. I replaced the foam rubber with a slightly less denseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for small homes
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Easy to install in HHR

It was easy to install and didn't require any special mechanical or electrical skills. A few tips: 1. Save time. Make sure you are working with a lamp that has 3 wires. This is the light that the T-connectors are connected to. I have a skylight on each side. I spent my time removing the bottom light first. 2. On the driver's side, just below the hole in the flashlight pocket, is a grounding stud with an 11mm nut. This can be used instead of drilling a hole for the ground wire. Be careful not to
