Fits OEM '99 GMC Jimmy but coolant drain doesn't work

Fits 1999 GMC Jimmy 2wd. There is no drain hole for a drain plug on the underside of the radiator, but you can always remove the hose to drain the water from the radiator.

Save money and buy cheaper

What a disappointment! This AC Delco cooler doesn't have a drain plug, I should have gotten a cheaper option and I probably should have gotten a drain plug! But I mistakenly thought I was buying a genuine part!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some problems

Works as it should

Fits perfectly in the 2000 Blazer 4x4. It integrates both the engine oil cooler and the transmission cooler. It's not possible to install a faucet, making a future coolant change a bit messier. That's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I also noticed that the core itself was a bit thinner than the OEM heatsink, but that doesn't seem to affect cooling. It still works great even if it's mid 90's.

Buy the best to start with and save yourself the hassle!

ACDelco Radiator 20837 You can't go wrong with genuine ACDelco parts. Cooler. Even with a guarantee after having replaced the cooler several times and paying for antifreeze out of your own pocket, it's no longer fun. Just buy the best to start with and save yourself the hassle :0) Buy with confidence. Raging rat

Don't waste your time with the aftermarket

99 S10 Blazer 4.3 with automatic transmission and 4WD. The original radiator lasted 20 years and 130,000 miles. Purchased aftermarket radiators from two world-renowned auto parts stores, both selling under reputable brands. The AT fluid and oil cooler fittings were so poorly machined that the lines would not snap. I even removed the fittings and snap clamps, oiled the o-ring and steel wool, and cleaned the end of the line. So I couldn't plant the Autobahns to the end. As a result I ordered an…

I saved $500 doing it myself

Local Chevy dealer wanted $800+ and my Blazer for 5 days to replace a new radiator. It seemed like a daunting task, but I was kind of fearless and tired of driving around hoping Barrs StopLeak wouldn't let me down. This job took me about 3 hours this weekend mechanic. I also replaced the radiator hoses. The hardest part was installing the factory spring clamp on the lower hose to the cylinder block with pliers. I gave up after about 90 minutes of fumbling (I was pushy but it was late at night…

The drain cock is filled but does not work

The drain cock is cast but does not work. I recently purchased this radiator to replace the one in my 2002 Chevy S10 (V6). This appears to be an exact replacement EXCEPT the drain line (faucet) is molded into the bottom of the passenger side but is not drilled so you cannot use the old faucet on the new radiator. At first I thought it was a manufacturing defect, but found the AC Delco phone number (1-800-223-3526) and called them about it. They said they removed the faucet to save money because
