A simple replacement for a 17 year old 4Runner.

This was a direct replacement for the screw and it works great. Make sure your battery is off and just turn on the door locks and everything works great. I also appreciate the extra foam that helps seal it in.

Lifebuoy: Engines

It was easy to install and works great. Driven for 2 years, the car has not opened. I got creative with ways to open the truck. It took me a while to finally look into this to see if I could do it myself as I didn't want to pay for work if I could do it myself. Thanks to the tutorial videos, I felt confident enough to buy it and install it myself.

Fits perfectly. in Parts

This latch looks the same as the OEM latch. It took me 20-30 minutes to install. First remove the cover from the lift gate. There are 3 screws holding the latch assembly. Screw on the new one and connect the wiring harness. I had to disconnect the battery terminals to get the latch to respond again. Snapped the lid back on after testing and I was back in business.
