So many useful uses

I bought this item to use in a CNC project to know how many hours I'm building. I can then track how long each tool has been used, as well as belt usage and all things related. It's also available in 120V and 12V DC, so you can install it on lawn mowers, tractors, and anything else you need to know the run hours. It just needs a power source from what you control.

A simple and easy way to keep track of my new air compressor

Came with a nice set of mounting and wiring hardware. You may want to get a bracket for it if you aren't mounting it into an existing panel. Have peace of mind knowing I can be sure I will stick to my equipment maintenance schedule and since the compressor runs automatically I can also see that it hasn't been running too much while I've been away from the shop.

The specified depth dimensions are misleading!

The description is misleading The seller states that the installation depth is 1.5 inches. NO, THAT IS NOT SO! They don't tell you the electrical connectors protrude from the back, so the depth is 1.74 inches (44mm), and with electrical mounting clips, the depth increases to 2.10 inches. Add the plastic insulating sleeves included in the kit for even more installation depth! So plan your installation accordingly. Haven't tested it yet because my installation plan is falsified by the incorrect…

defective with a very inaccurate time display.

The meter was DOA (Defective on Arrival) The meter looked like it had been factory tested as the 1/10 scale read 1 instead of 0, however it didn't work as the meter read about 8 minutes took 1/10 seconds to get it read. Somehow this erroneous counter was checked and skipped by qc even though it is clearly erroneous. The noise is very loud, around 60 decibels or average conversation volume. If you have received a working one and decide to use it, do not use the connectors that came with the kit…

Not for marine use Electric

Pros: Gauge looked good out of the box and matched my existing fuel gauge. It was easy to hook up the wiring to my boat's existing wiring and it worked well. Cons: In less than 4 months the entire sensor frame began to show signs of rust. The sensor itself is placed in the cabin so that it is not directly exposed to salt water splashes. The fuel gauge, partially shown at right, has been installed on the boat for over 10 years (probably much longer) and still looks like new. I suspect the…

Very inaccurate on gauges

Meter installs quickly and easily. Unfortunately this is very inaccurate. I installed this as a test backup of the hour meter that was on my new boat. The boat's meter was very accurate, which was confirmed by my stopwatch, which observed the change in tenths. This sensor was already at 10% after 22 hours. This was very important as it took me about 20 hours before using the boat to tow the skiers. This counter showed almost 26 hours at 10 p.m. Don't waste your money when you need an accurate…

Stopped working after 3 hours on the clock

Installed on an air compressor to track running hours. The counter is now at about 3 hours and is tracking the run time as intended. Disappointed that this product comes with limited instructions although I was able to get the information needed to install it on my air compressor. The only suggestion is an installation guide. TO UPDATE. Shortly after I wrote the first review, the counter stopped counting. I contacted the seller who quickly refunded my money. The seller also offered me another…
