Educate yourself and be careful

How well this works depends on your purpose and setup I guess. I'm new to computer hardware. My first mistake was buying a cheap noisy hard drive. Silence them? no Do you turn it down? Partly yes. I had to use a drill to widen the hard drive mounting holes in my computer case. I started with a 5/32" bit and gradually increased the size to 1/4". I don't think the product is faulty; I just made the mistake of thinking it was a silver bullet. If I started with a quieter hard drive, maybe it could…

Pros
  • Hands-free working
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Good quality for computers and accessories

These screws and washers were perfect for installing a second 3.5" hard drive in an Acer Aspire that did not have a separate drive carrier. The washers provided the extra width needed to hold the drive to the side of the PC case. The presence of rubber washers to eliminate vibration is a plus. I was concerned that the height of the pucks would be an obstacle. However, washers are made of very soft rubber and compress to a negligible height. The bolts are just the right length, just long enough…

  • Beautiful looks

but after that everything is perfect. Will definitely use them again

A hard drive that can be heard from across the room has become one next to the housing that can hardly be heard with the ear. I did have to enlarge the holes in the case for the drive to 1/4" and use some sandpaper to smooth out the burrs, but after that everything is perfect. I will definitely use it again.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Too stupid

An expensive way to pacify a hard drive

These hard drive screws are pretty simple and straightforward. I used these because I was removing the hard drive carrier from my case and therefore needed to move my 3.5" hard drive into the 5.25" drive bay. At the same time I was thinking that metal on metal could make some pretty loud power driven noises. So in the name of silence I used these screws with a metal adapter I linked below: 3.5" to 5.25" Hard Drive Bay Mounting Bracket Hard Drive Adapter Metal Kit Pros: - These screws definitely

First of all, don't expect it to be perfect for your business. Also, don't expect a screw to fit your product perfectly. Just accept it. Every case I had had a slightly different implementation. So if you're afraid to drill a hole or go to your local hardware store to buy some screws, just use what you have or buy something direct from your case manufacturer. . I can't take any stars off for that because I think it's ok. There are two main reasons you should be concerned with them: Noise issues

Pros
  • Regular Price

  • Security
