CLEAN cut is best for router

Used these in my plunge router to drill holes in veneered MDF to install hardwood dowels. Clean cuts in veneer and MDF, ideal dowel drilling in hardwood. No breaks.

Pros
  • Groove 2
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great alternative to the Keller 1643 at a great price

I inherited a set of Keller 1601 dovetail attachments without matching bits: 1633 (dovetail) and 1643 (straight). After doing a little research I came across the Amana 45882 (Dovetail) and 45470 (Straight) and found them to be quite acceptable replacements for the Keller 1633 and 1643 respectively. Now I've made some dovetail boxes out of it and they have a very clean cut. I haven't used them extensively though so only time will tell if they hold up. Considering they are 50% cheaper than Keller

Pros
  • Diameter (D) 5/8
Cons
  • Out of fashion
