Useful air vent mount for most Garmin car navigation devices: simple, compact and efficient - but you need strong fingers. This is an upgraded design of Arkon Detachable Rotating Air Vent GPS Car Mount for Garmin nuvi 40 50 200 2013 24x5 25x5 GPS that was used once in my Subaru Forester.

After the initial problem with the item breaking, the exchange worked great! My guess is that a manufacturing defect caused the first problem. In any case, the company and Revain have been great. GPS is now where it's visible when you need it and can be easy when not in use. Thank you for your help, Arkon and Revane.

Much more compact than I expected. Sturdy and won't let the phone bounce or slosh around like some other vent mounts. It's nice to be able to rotate the iPhone in all directions on such a small stand. The 17mm bead is fairly popular for lightweight mounts, so I was able to easily find a good magnetic mount (the cell is the strongest I've found). PS I just realized that the clip on the back rotates for vertical mounts.

I have found it to work exceptionally well and keep my Garmin 2689 off the windshield which is illegal in some states. Some users complain that the mounting clip is a bit difficult to use, but once you get the hang of it, it's really not a problem.

Firstly, the ball is smaller than it should be, my Garmin leans down with even the slightest jerk. Second, when I tried a bit to push the clip all the way to the vent, the metal spring clip popped out. Useless product, now in my trash.

I thought it would work fine and as some other reviews have noted the clip is tight. Difficult to reach under and unhook or hook it. So I put it on and left it on all the time. When I first took pictures with the GPS, part of the clip broke. So I'm not feeling well right now.
