Great motherboard but expensive

Mostly bought because it supports BIOS flashing which made my 5600x easier to install. The RGB is good and the polychrome sync beta recognizes my RGB RAM so it looks good. Polychrome Beta does not appear to support Razer Chroma RGB. The option is there, but it cannot be selected. Otherwise it works great, no problems with RAM compatibility. BIOS firmware was quite simple. The only thing is that it's quite expensive and other board manufacturers use BIOS firmware on less expensive boards. But I…

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Too stupid

Good Electronics on Computer Components

The BIOS UI is a bit crappy, but everything works great if you don't have to fiddle with it. it's 2021. Their M.2 heatsinks won't work because there's too much dead space in the gap they sandwich between the drive and the screw, and they also have a support on the bottom that's designed for bare m.2 -Cards are provided You are forced to use a motherboard, it also uses custom screws for absolutely no reason. I/O can have several other USB ports.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Updates Available

B550 Monster available

Great board at a very affordable price. Comes with 8 Sata III slots, 3 PCIE slots, 2 M.2 slots. Beautiful looks and easy installation, plus a large amount of documentation to help you with it. One of the misaligned M.2 mounts was ripped from the circuit board.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Reliable motherboard from the world's leading manufacturer

This motherboard represents superior performance for its B550 class. It blurs the line between x570 and b550, making it competitive in this sector from high-end to high-end. Recommend. qualitative.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Oops. Internals

I did a little research and settled on this B550 motherboard for my build. I was surprised when I opened the box and it was x570 instead. Technically it was a $50 upgrade but not what I ordered.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Not bad

A few quick notes for people after April 2021

Notes for people having problems: AMD Chipset Software 2.13.27.501 works for me, but the recommended version 2.11 on ASRock website causes my entire PC to go into random Intervals pseudo-freezes . So I would recommend installing 2.13 if you are having any of these issues. If your LEDs are blinking randomly and not following the settings in Polychrome or BIOS, you probably have a bad board. I use this B550 Taichi. with 5800X, GTX 970 (GPU lack is killing me), 32 GB Ripjaws V 3200 CL 16 RAM…

Pros
  • Wide Range
Cons
  • Zero
