🔧 Accurate and Reliable: AUTO METER (2162 0-40 PSI Analog Tire Pressure Gauge Review

Worked great for about a year - then stopped holding pressure - then stopped reading pressure (like clogged) reliably. I put the pieces in the basket.

Very easy to read, not so easy to bleed with the button, better use the back of the chuck. After 5 years of ownership, it is slowly leaking after you remove it from the valve stem to check the reading.

Not impressed. Kinda sad to be from Autometer. It doesn't appear to be very accurate, and the cartridge doesn't fit snugly on the valve stem, so it's leaking, which is likely causing inaccuracies as well. outside the rear window, otherwise it will return.

Trust me when I say this, don't waste your money on these cheap digital tire gauges from Autoparts. I work as an instructor at a local racetrack and as always a well made analogue tire gauge is essential! If everyone is fumbling around with cheap digital tires, they can never get tires with the right pressure range.

This is a large, heavy, professional instrument. Too bad he was married. Once you remove it from the valve stem, it returns to zero. If it was a cheap sensor I might have chosen to live with it, but this one was quite expensive. They made me box it up and send it back which caused me a lot of trouble so I thought I'd go further to tell you that the sensor I received was junk.

This sensor is fine for everyday use but I wouldn't use it for a serious racing instrument. The face is not big enough. I used it for the first time and after a few uses the sensor stopped reading. It worked, it didn't work. I will return it and try another. My old Moroso sensor works great when used on my slicks. This caliber only goes up to 15 pounds.
