When I first bought this, I thought it was Chinese junk. But! I plugged it in and left it alone for a while and it booted up and now it's 100% working. The company even emailed after the purchase to ask if I needed anything. I love it. I just wish I could use it for obd1 cars

Pros: Fairly compact and light Easy to set up Cons: I had trouble connecting to the OBD II port. I've never had a problem with the other two OBD-II scanners, so it's not because my car's connector doesn't fit. I finally got the unit working by firmly plugging it into the carport, hopefully it stays put. Hence the 3/5 stars. If the connector were improved I would rate it 4.5/5 stars.

Now I see other people crashed like me. Worked off and on at first thinking it was going through the different things it could do but I said nothing. Now it doesn't display anything, but I know it's working because it beeps at 74mph like it did with a working display. I just threw away $38 what a waste of money. Looks like a great idea but it didn't last long so I would stay away from these items from those who sell them.

I wish I could give this unit 5 stars. This is very useful and versatile BUT you can't set your top speed above 74mph so every time you go over that speed you'll get an overspeed alert which you can't turn off. It's fine if you want to drive like 70 or 75+ but I have my cruise control set to 74 or 75 on the Autobahn which means the alarm goes off all the time - very annoying! Hi everyone, I was told that this device would work on my 2009 Nissan Tiida (Japanese model) and that was the deciding factor for me, to buy this device. However, when I received it and tried to connect to my car, it would not connect (connection failed). I contacted the supplier and it was an email exchange with them who tried to protect their product even after I provided the photos and video clip. Surprisingly better than I expected. The display is very sharp and clear, the automatic light-sensing feature keeps the display at the right brightness, and for me it does exactly what I wanted: it offers a very easy-to-read digital speedometer that doesn't require me to look away from the road when I'm sitting entirely at the top of my dashboard at the bottom of my windshield. If this product had a decent instruction manual I would give it 5 stars. Installation was quick, about a minute. But then it was 30 deciphering a tiny, poorly written instruction manual that has a large number of possible functions. Only bought because of the speedometer.
