Get rid of the "POP "

This came in a Mustang with a factory radio Shaker 500. The only problem I have is this has to be replaced in my car every year or so. I recommend using screw caps so they can be easily removed instead of solder or something permanent.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Expensive

Does what it should

Came well packaged with circuit diagram, but fairly clear. I will say there is a slight kick in some situations but it's not what it would be without it. I think I only caught it when the accessory is off and in the ford where it doesn't turn off until the door is opened. Could that be part of it? Otherwise really no complaints

Pros
  • Robust workmanship
Cons

Installed on 2005 Ford Mustang Convertible V6 with Shaker 500.

Installed on 2005 Ford Mustang Convertible V6 with 500 Amp Shaker. The instructions are a bit short but accurate. It is ONLY used to connect the subwoofer wiring harness, NOT to power the main amplifier. So the BLUE wire from the Metra wiring harness, the BLUE wire from the radio wiring harness and the BLUE/RED wire from the Axxess are connected together. Then the 2 BLUE/WHITE wires of the subwoofer harness are connected to the Axxess BLUE/WHITE wire. Black on the floor. No idiots!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Works as advertised

This does exactly what it says it does. I used this after having some speaker sound issues after installing an aftermarket head unit on my 2011 Mustang with a shaker sound system (Phoenix Automotive PX6 Android Radio). There are several ways to install this, but I decided to just solder it and cover the connections with heat shrink tubing. After all, it works great and looks like it should be there! I recommend it to anyone who has the same problem.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Doubtful

Fixed "POP " in my 06 Mustang GT with Shaker 500 package!

I installed an aftermarket head unit on my Mustang GT 06 using the Shaker 500 package Shortly after the installation was complete I was roughly introduced to the infamous 'POP' that Ford cars have after fitting an aftermarket head unit get radio. I immediately went to Google to see how I could solve this problem. Out of 30 forum posts I read, this little device was the most recommended! I went to Amazon and ordered. I installed it the next day and now I can start my car without the constant…

This product is required for premium Ford audio systems.

I have a 2003 Ford Escape with a premium Mach audio system (6 disc, 2 din stereo with amplifier). I recently wanted to remove the factory radio to install an aftermarket head unit to get an aux and USB slot for playing music. I bought the matching Metra wiring harness and hooked everything up. The bad news Every time I started the car, there was a loud bang from the speakers. I did a little research to find out that the earliest Ford vehicles with premium OEM amp systems included a 5 volt amp…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
