I bought this to upgrade a couple of 150w cigarette lighter models that couldn't crack the heating pad connected to it. This tank model. The fan sound isn't bad, but it sits behind the second-row seats. I expect rear seat passengers will complain about fan noise, but we rarely carry passengers. No detectable electronic noise in stereo systems, scanners and mobile/portable radios. I would/probably buy another one for a second car or as a gift.

I received this inverter and installed it in my work van to run (2) 20V chargers and also use (3) USB outlets. Having used several different brands of 400w inverters I was very pleased to see that it didn't get hot under the same power conditions as previous 400w inverters. PS4 and 23" monitor for long-distance travel. About 13 hours drive and works great. Doesn't get hot, fan is quiet. The PS4 consumes around 160W, while a 23-inch computer monitor consumes 25W. I had to buy an extra Dvi connector to convert to HDMI for the PS4 to work on the monitor, but there was no problem, even charging my controller and mobile phone. Use USB ports at the same time! I've had it for a month and survived two trips. That's great! I can plug it into my caravan's cigarette lighter socket and charge my devices. Or connect it to your RV battery and watch TV without running the generator!
