Quality differs between the two I ordered

I ordered two. One was fine. The other is loose and looks like it will peel off where the plastic and screw is glued or screwed into the shaft. I have to return it but I'm not leaving without it. Note: Used for front turn signals on Gen 1 KLR650. They have NO extra wire to use them as a running light.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Very expensive

Looks like an OEM but useless piece of junk

The metal base was not long enough to fit through the mounting hole. So I twisted and pulled with my hands to see if the metal would stretch a little more. In my hands everything just fell apart and broke. Pretty cheap junk. If I could attach it to my bike it would surely break from bike impact without tipping over. Q- To Bikemaster because of that.

It works but is not assembled properly

Yes, it will fit all KLR 650 model years 1986 thru 2007. It looks exactly like the one that broke to me. Everything is also fine with the cable connection. The only problem, as someone else said, is that the threaded shank isn't long enough. However, its length is ENOUGH to give the washer and nut a decent turn or two, so you can just tighten them and they will continue to stretch without deforming or breaking. It's really more of a pain in the butt than anything.

Pros
  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Damaged

Just received this turn signal and everything was great except the part of the thread that attaches the turn signal to the bike was not long enough for me to mount it on the bike. Luckily that part of the turn signal didn't come loose when I dropped the bike. So I took this new turn signal apart, replaced the extension and threads with the old one and was able to install it on the bike. I bought this to replace the rear left turn signal for my Kawasaki KLX650. If I hadn't salvaged the old…

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Some quirks

Poor quality and does not work for 2006 KLR650! (no bike mods)

UPDATE: 171112 Of course the yellow plastic washer around the bolts breaks even though I ride less than twenty minutes a day. This light just can't handle the vibrations it's supposed to isolate. Wow, not even close to the quality of an OEM part. The area that should be flexible rubber is inflexible plastic, so expect the bulbs to burn through like popcorn. And the threaded pipe is too short for my 2006 Kawasaki KLR650. But I was forced to get everything working, so I took a 3/4" bit and…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not a direct replacement for a 2001 KLR 650 (maybe a post 2008 model)

The bolt that goes through the bag bar is too short as another customer mentioned. To overcome this, the existing nut must be retained and no nuts and washers other than those supplied with this assembly may be used. I couldn't reuse an existing signal rod/bolt because it broke. The interaction is only 1.5 threads, which is far from the magic 3 threads of interaction. Tightening may have got me there, but over-tightening could have broken the stem when squeezing. I'll improve the grip by…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Almost never

Will not fit 2003 KLR650 but says it fits KLX650R. The threaded connection that holds the turn signal to the bike wasn't long enough to attach it to the bike as other reviews have stated. Luckily the original part was still connected to the bike so I was able to remove the new signal and rebuild with the original hardware. This is not an easy task as the part does not come with an assembly diagram. However, with a little patience and an intuitive mind, you can figure it out, but add a couple of

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
