I went insane trying to find a collar for my 15 lb cat. I didn't need a tear-off collar. I need a strong, lightweight, padded collar that carries a small inflatable rescue collar. He's going to have CSF surgery and I didn't mean to embarrass or soften him. I like this collar because it has multiple adjustment holes. It is very difficult to find a collar for a larger cat (15-20 pounds). Either collars are too small and flimsy, or dog collars are often quite heavy and too wide. It's just perfect.

I bought this collar for my 8 lb pup with a 9 inch neck. I have found that using the second largest hole on the collar provides the best fit and leaves enough room to freely slip two fingers into the collar. I was hesitant to cut off the excess after reading some of the reviews about scuffs and such, but there were too many and it was annoying.
