The side with the reflective tape always pointed to the ground, no matter how I attached it to the collar. Almost no one/car could see the reflection because it was pointing down. I've used it as much as I can take it now and will put it away in favor of another spare leash as soon as I find it. Good. I have turquoise with purple and black stripes very pretty but stripes and reflective threads only on one side. On the other hand, it is solid purple. It is very well made and has a great grip; It's soft and there's a clip on the handle that allows you to either walk hands-free by attaching the leash to the belt loop, or tether the dog without tying knots on the leash that are always difficult to untie.
