Excellent sharpening stone for diamond saws

This stone works well as a sharpening stone for diamond saws. Also, at this price point, it's a lot cheaper than items specifically marked as diamond whetstones. The stone is silicon carbide (SiC), although the ad is unclear and the packaging says it's silicon oxide (which it isn't). The SiC stone has a grain size of 240 on one side and 320 on the other. Pros
  • Oil or water can be used as a lubricant for this sharpening wheel

  • Vanishing

Silicon sharpening stones are silicon carbide and are preferred for harder materials like ceramic and glass, the latter of which I bought. Aluminum oxide works well for general sharpening of most metal blades and is less aggressive than silicon carbide stones. If I order an advertised product, I hope to receive that product or a product that matches its composition and application. I don't want a…
