**Updated March 2020** Still a great idea although I would make sure to tighten the locking screws to secure the adjustment rods to the base of the router. When setting up for a set of loose slot cutouts, the thin metal of the mortise base of my 1617EVS router (Bosch part number RA1166) cracked, resulting in a slight tension play.
