🧹 Enhanced Eureka Beam Whole House Central Vacuums - Mounting Bracket Review

I bought this product because I needed an extra outlet in my garage for a vacuum cleaner I just installed. The price was right and the seller did not charge any additional shipping costs. The product arrived within a few days.

When you bought it the description said you can just break off the side bracket if you don't need it. It's not relevant. There are no tabs or anything to do this with. You'll have to cut it off with a dremel or hacksaw or whatever. It's plastic so it shouldn't be hard. In my case I needed a mount for a job I had to do so everything worked out fine.

I did not like that this item is for 'new construction' and cannot be easily converted for 'existing or old' work (prefab drywall/plaster). It is understood that the "tongue” must be cut off to pick up the "existing” work. Not this case. The tab should not be torn off. In order to work it on my existing one and not damage it I had to put the piece in a miter saw and cut off the tongue. Then I could get it to work.
